PRAYER SPACES IN SCHOOLS
Prayer spaces in schools enable children and young people, of all faiths and none, to explore lifes questions, spirituality and faith in a safe, creative and interactive way
The first prayer spaces in schools took place in 2007, in four locations around the UK. To date, we have tracked and supported thousands of prayer spaces in more than 30 nations, and at least a million children and young people have participated in them.
Our mission is to equip churches to serve the ongoing pastoral and spiritual life of their local schools communities by hosting great prayer spaces. And our vision is to help every child and young person reflect and pray.
You will be pleased to know that South Africa has it's very own National Coordinator for Prayer Spaces in Schools. Jason Stanier has lots of experience in setting up prayer spaces in schools in South Africa and is available to assist and guide anyone who is interested. Watch the video below of how Prayer Spaces in Schools is being used for emotional healing in the Cape.
